¬ Bandwidth Delimma

Here’s the deal.  Everyone has upload and download speeds.  Usually, your upload (sending data out of your home) is about 1/6th - 1/10th of your download speed.  This is great for most people who mostly download.  However, for you to view images/movies from me you are using up my “upload” bandwidth.

The dilemma is that I have to work/play smile  So if my upload speed gets too saturated, then I’ll be disabling the Gallery link (right) until I’m done.  If you see the alert, please check back in a few hours.

If you are trying to download some very large or a high number of movies, please contact me directly.  I can probably get them to a temp spot that’s faster for you to download and save us both time smile

¬ New Dynamic DNS Servicer

DynDNS went to paid only, so I had to find a new service and settled on FreeDNS.afraid.org.  Systems are registered and now it will just take some time for the records to get propagated to all DNS servers.

¬ Splitting Across Multiple Domains

Unfortunately, the DSL at our new place SUCKS! So, because of potential down time and, in the case we ever move or switch internet providers, I’ve moved my main domain (leejb.net) to a hosted service. The gallery will remain linked via my secondary (jiriki.us) locally.

What does this mean? You may have a shortcut, favorite/bookmark or an E-mail with a link to a photo you refer to the gallery. Well, if the base URL it points to (the first part) is leejb.net, it will no longer work. Basically you just have to replace leejb.net with jiriki.us to get it to work. So you can manually update it or go to the gallery, find the photo and re-bookmark it.

Sorry for the hassle, but this will help keep part of the site up. If you ever have a problem, always go back to leejb.net and check to see if there is any maintenance or other problems; I’ll post them here.
